MitoCanada offers a range of educational resources designed to help you bring mitochondrial disease awareness into the classroom. For grades K-5, we provide a 20-page children’s explainer book that simplifies the complexities of mitochondrial disease in a way young learners can understand.

For high school educators, we offer a comprehensive teaching deck that covers various aspects of mitochondrial disease, complete with a detailed script for easy presentation. Additionally, we have a downloadable MitoAccommodations checklist, which can be shared with parents ahead of resource team meetings to review and identify supports that would be most beneficial to the student.
