Mathusa Inthirarasa | Scarborough, ON | Social Work (first year), Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University)

Mathusa Inthirarasa, a young woman who lives with mitochondrial complex III deficiency. Mathusa recently graduated from a Social Service Worker program and is now pursuing her Bachelor of Social Work, after which she hopes to pursue a Masters in Social Work.

“In terms of my career ambition, I would really love to work with patients in a hospital setting by becoming a Clinical Social Worker,” says Mathusa. “I envision my career will be to one day provide mental health supports to marginalized and underserved communities.”
