When we learn that a member of the mitochondrial disease community has recently passed away, we feel that loss deeply. Mitochondrial disease can touch every part of a person’s life, and it also touches the lives of their family, friends, caregivers, and community. In moments of grief, remembrance matters.
We are honoured to provide this dedicated place of remembrance, created with the involvement and permission of each family, where we can come together to honour the lives, strength, love, and lasting impact of our recently past community members.
Remembering Members of the Canadian Mitochondrial Disease Community
Behind each tribute is a person deeply loved and remembered by family, friends, and community. These pages offer a meaningful way to pause, reflect, and learn more about the person being honoured beyond their diagnosis.
Each image below opens a family-approved tribute page, offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about the person being remembered, the life they lived, and the love they shared.
If you or your family have recently lost a loved one and would like to connect with MitoCanada about creating an In Loving Memory page, or accepting donations in lieu of flowers or gifts, please reach out to us at info@mitocanada.org
We would be honoured to support you in creating a meaningful tribute that reflects your loved one’s life and connection to the mito community
